Florida Swim School Celebrates Successful First Year
Boca Raton, FL—Learning to swim is such an important component of childhood here in Florida, we congratulate the Florida Swim School for celebrating their first anniversary and for being the only indoor swim school in Boca Raton.
Drowning is a leading cause of death in children under 4 years old, and here in Florida, where pools, lakes, and other bodies of water are so prevelant, learning to swim is a vital life skill.
Business partners Cate Schlembach and Kara Keenan Cassidy, long-time friends, almost created this type of swim school in New Jersey, where they both previously lived twelve years ago. However, life moved in and their plans had to be delayed to, by a quirk of fate, both women ended up living in Boca Raton, Florida.
Finally the two joined forces to make it even easier to teach swimming lessons to all ages, from 3 months to adult. Their facility bypasses the outdoor distractions and common south Florida weather delays by teaching in an indoor private facility in Boca Raton.
“We are dedicated to teaching the life-saving skill of swimming with a nurturing method that builds confidence,” says founder Kara Cassidy.
The school has expanded to nine swim “coaches” to actively teach new swimmers. All experienced, many of the coaches were competitive swimmers on the highest levels before lending their skills to the Florida Swim School.
